Marshall -- I'm truly sorry to hear about your friend. I had two close friends die while I was in college, and it has always served to remind me how fragile life is, and how much we should cherish it day to day. Best wishes to you, and your friend's wife, during this difficult time. Hang in there.

Wow... I am so sorry..yes that is very sad :(

I myself worry that staring at this monitor all day for most of the hours a day will effect me, my eyes. I worry about the radiation, even though people say it is safe.

M, very sorry to hear that.

My condolences. I lost my best friend since childhood almost two years ago. I spoke to Him every day when He was in the hospital, as He was in Penn. and I'm in Florida. I'll never forget when I got the call from His wife, We spread His ashes in the ocean I still dream about Him.

Marshall, I lost my best friend 6 years ago in a hiking accident. I was in Carlsbad NM, working my territory and received the news over happy hour. I had to drive 6 hours to Midland Texas to catch a plane in order to make the viewing in time. I will never forget that phone call as long as I live. I know Jason as well as Corey are in a better place right now. They will always be remembered. My thoughts go out to you my friend. Times like these make you take a look at how precious life really is. We are all here to make life as grand as possible. But there are no guarantees to how long that will last. Ever since I have posted on this thread, I have felt part of a family. I still feel the same, though success has brought in many unknowns, that still doesn't discount the fact that we all have something in common. That is, we all have compassion for one another. I am truly grateful for that. My prayers go out to you, Corey and the family members. Take care and goodnight...................................................

Marshall, so sorry about your loss. Always believed that "your friends are the family you choose for yourself" ... a great loss. My sympathies.

that sucks man... i pray he knew our Lord and that we will see him again someday..

always hard to lose someone you know... even harder when they are taken so early.. without really getting to experience the joys of life.. and the joys of family..

I'm very sorry for your loss... another reason why family always comes before money..

and no matter how i end the day with my trades.. if my family life is good.. I'm happy :)

Off topic. There's nothing I can add to what's been said Marshall. I'm very sorry for the loss of your friend. All you can do is carry on and live in a way that would make Corey smile.

I guess it should make us all think, about the extra burdens the guy or gal next to us might be carrying, unbeknownst to us.

Take care.

A nice eulogy all in itself, Marshall; well put. Cancer has touched many of our lives, and in all cases it teaches us - or should - the lesson you wrote: investing is just investing, money is just money...it's life and family and love that matter.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Marshall. I would like to add my sympathies to those already passed on by the thread. Many of us have lost similarly close friends and family, and there's never an easy way to deal with it. However, it does make me more appreciative of the friends and family that are around me still, and that's where I draw my support in times of need. I hope the prayers of all of the people on the thread, and in your personal life, makes this troubling time a little easier to bear.
