Today was fascinating from a trader's perspective. I held some qqq puts (NAZ 100) and watched them take off this morning. Then the powers that rule decided to juice the market. How? by pumping 2 stocks MSFT and INTC, which by extension move every major index. Then the index funds had to follow and it became self fulfilling. Fortunately, I closed my positions for a profit before it reversed substantially. Where it goes from here is anyone's guess, but it certainly appears that some strong money wants it higher, or at least not lower

Bond market really decoupled from the stock market, and a lot of shorts who piled in yesterday got whipsawed.

But when the market returns to some measure of sanity, mob rules won't work anymore.

KIS, if the big downdraft many are (again) predicting does come to pass, it will be the mob that changes (and it will still rule, believe me).
