Flood of Responses

DJ, I did not say there wasn't anything good to say about Corel but I will say I don't here it coming from you. Excuse me but don't tell us how many motherboards you think are going to be shipped with a freeware disk containing the Corel Office product. Talk to me after they actually ship and then tell me how many pennies Corel will get from that. Can you do that?

Secondarily, where did you get the spin about a management shakeup? It was a sudden resignation for which the CEO did not have a concrete explanation. Let's see some facts, not spin. This company has been treading water for a decade. I was here for the Net PC bandwagon and the Java Office Suite bandwagon and they were predicable failures. At what point does a company actually have to earn credibility? I would submit that blindly assuming everything is different now is a very bad investment policy.

BTW, isn't there a big Linux conference coming up? That may be interesting.

Why might that be interesting? That's typical hype from the typical hypester. They always drop worthless innuendo about something being interesting: with no factual information at all. How about an explanation regarding the CFO's sudden departure and the rumors swirling about revenue recognition games being considered again? How about some facts on that from before you give us another one of your cheerleading displays.

D.J. thanks for the encouraging words. How long of a hold do you anticipate? At this point would it be worth selling and buying back at lower price?

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Mare

DJ,

Linux or not, the CEO does not sound very straight.
He was interveiwed on CNBC 2-3 days ago. He was
asked about the % of his business coming from
Linux. He skirted the issue and the interveiwer
suggested that the % of revenue for Corl coming
from Linux was less than 2%. Also, I was shocked
to learn that the CEO was under investigation for
selling his stock on insider information. The CEO's
answer to this question was also that that was when
the stock was at $5 (Implying that inser information
selling is OK if later the stock quadruples). Just
imagine the CEO selling on inside info at $5 and
then hypes the stock as a pure linux play. The CEO
being under investigation for insider trading and
the CFO resigning during this time. I don't want to
say it in so many words but a crook ceo creating
fraud comes to mind. Below is what the brokers have
to say about the stock. The Nasdaq goes up by
90 points and Corl move $1.

Yes I have shorted the stock. It may go up under hype,
but guess what, it is coming down down down.

If you are long, I can suggest some better stocks
to go long.
