Dan, you still know nothing about servers, despite your long post. Without going into detail, let me just say that a server is much more than just a glorified network hub. If you think that one DDR channel is all that's necessary, I know a few architects of server chipsets who would love to hear your suggestions just for comic relief.

<Obviously, you will need an AMD LDT class of system bus to connect that DIMM to a set of NICs, but the bottleneck will be the system bus, not the DRAM bus.>
