You dudes stay up too late.... I agree with a lot of what you say....but as I have tryed to tell you Brian, I am not saying your decision to protect your Sabbath is wrong. What I AM saying is that I do not believe you can "bind" on me what you consider to be the truth in the actual "mechanical" aspect of observing that Sabbath. What I AM saying is that if I take the Torah, and read those ten commandments and say "here is the exactly how those have to look, then I have already sinned, because fault was already found...not with the law,, but me. You just automatically assume that I am not trying to please God in my life, when NOTHING could be further from the truth....how do I know that you feel that way? Does not take many remarks like this to convince me you would be "censure" of the faith """then you will not need to worry about pleasing God at all""" Remember all the little rules and regs the pharisees tacked on what could or could not be construed as work on the Sabbath (or anything else they did) ? WELL.... what makes you telling me that you have the keys to tell me that making a waitress work(as if I DID make one work) as opposed to your "convenience" of having electricity on your Sabbath is "different" or "necessary" If you are truly following your rules of engagement, forget your convenience(people lived for 100 of years without elec.) stoke up some firewood on Sat. to warm your family, trim your candles and work at it...... OTHERWISE DON"T TELL ME YOU HAVE MY HEART TO KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO TO PLEASE GOD AND ANY OTHER WAY IS SIN....... you just have to let me clean the inside of my own cup, whether you like it or not..... What is wrong with how I have describe the 4th command Dan. Depends on how you describe it, right? If you say, "thus sayeth the Lord" and you post the Scripture to me...GREAT!!! If you say, "thus sayeth the Lord" and then tack on; thirteen paragraghs of your interpretation of it's mechanical keeping "and here is what that has to looks like" then you have gone past your call. YOU have to trust that God has and will continue to speak to me, concerning the matter. You can keep screaming from the rooftops that I am unclean all you want dude, and I will just keep telling you that THAT has already been established.....THAT is why I needed Messiah.
