Your posts were quite intelligent, and I respect your comments about corel management. That flame comment was not meant for you Ian, I'm sorry -just didn't want to participate in that other thread. Corel has chased after the latest hot tech thing, and mgmt seems to get in the way of their own products somewhat. I don't know who was behind the linux strategy, or may be it was dumb luck. I do believe linux will be embedded in many computer-like appliances, and corel was one of the first. That doesn't mean it's good business, I remember the Apple Newton.
I originally invested in corel because I thought they would utilize their position as a graphics and office suite powerhouse to develop website content, mgmt and development tools. I also bought MACR, it has done much better in that space.
