The thing I have to reboot most often, probably 98% of reboots, is Netscape. I can't remember the last time I've had a crash, hang or freeze when running Microsoft Mail, Excel, Project or Word. So, you say, Microsoft has a timer that goes off randomly that produces the 'this application has caused an illegal operation' lovely, right? Plan to download Explorer ASAP, will see. Tony

Many others experience these crashes, and they're all running Windows 95 or 98. Most of these crashes are due to bugs in the software being run at the time, which may or may not be Microsoft software. Regardless, most who run Windows NT, and I think all who run Windows 2000 release candidates, never see these crashes. I've run Windows 2000 for a long time, and its stability and speed are even an improvement over NT. I hope people will realize the benefits of upgrading to Win2000. David
