Me too!!! Got my butt kicked in the Options game. The hardest part was watching the stock go up considerably and perform like I wanted and expected AFTER my option expired. Painful learning experience to say the least.

I've consistently quadrupled my returns using options for the last three years. The key is to be willing to make a longer term investment, and forget about trying to buy short term options. Buying at the right time helps, too.

Options are obviously not for every investor, and those that aren't comfortable with their understanding of them ought to stay away. The hypothesis that the market makers screw the individual investor is bunk. It is the individual investor who screws himself.
