Ransom Love calls going public an 'ultmate compliment'. I suppose the value of the compiment depends on how hard your creditors are pounding at the door. Tim O'Reilly seems to have big plans though. I've been kinda watching what they're doing up there (just a ways north of me). I wouldn't be surprised to see an offering. Maybe not on the core (publishing), but in one or two other areas (like XML). O'Reilly has a political agenda that's a bit more sophisticated than Bob Young, Larry Augustin or Ransom Love. -JCJ
