This is what i personally do:

I modified my batch file (autoexec.bat)

at the end of it I added:

c:
cd rd /s /q temp
mkdir temp


NOw I'm not recommending you all do that, but if you do, please make a backup of the files you have stored there incase you actually keep something of value in that
directory.

An alternative to rd is 'deltree /y temp'

but yes, in general temp files don't need to be kept around.

And the code above only works if your temp directory resides on the C drive and is called temp!!

delete them all. if it has .tmp after it, hasta la vista.

whenever i've gone into the temp folder i've selected all and then delete. one or two (that were not .tmp files) came back and said they couldn't be deleted. so i didn't delete them.
