processors and systems on the market are
still 0.25 Celerons and 0.25 Pentiums-2/2.5...

Mako's comments are AWOL this week and thus you're stuck with me (still a Shark of some sort). This week sees the introduction of the AMD Athlon 750MHz to our table having recently been released and now widely available. For over $800 though, you might well consider waiting until the millenium is over (no mail on the Gregorian calendar please). The fact that it's the first .18micron core from AMD is a sound note for the company to end the year on.
