Paul, From the NUS NEWS desk AMD NEWS. K-6 3D NOW. AMD will debut the K-6 3D on May 28, with announcment of shippemnts in commercial quantity. The launch will coincide will new product announcemnts and additional software supports products. AMD is now so confident the K-6 3D @300 MHZ will out perform the Pentium II 400 mhz. with the launce of the K-6 3D that AMD will no longer have to follow the discount pricing policy of offering the K-6 3D at price points 25% below Intel. Potentialy speeding AMD return to profitability on or before QRT3. On the production side yields continue to increase AMD sees producded more than 1.5 million units in the first two first two months of the qrt with the ramp accererating even higher during the last month of the quarter. Not only is the .25 conversion on schedule but additional equipment to increase wafer capacity by 25% is also happening. Each month more and more wafer starts are being put into procuction as part of the longer term ongoing plan to fully equipment FAB 25 to full capacity. Dresden received first equipment shipments and will be in limited production during the QRT4. With quantity commercial production beginning in 1QTR 99. AMD Flash Has now acheived substantial market gains and now hold 85% of the flash market when combined with it's flash partner Futjutsi. All thanks to AMD being the only .18volt technology manufactures. Orders for the new flash chips are pouring in. manufactures. You bet I'm buying more. Hang in there AMD'ers Happy Trading!
