Rumor's are that the Deal between S3 and Corel, where S3 provides drivers for the Fire GL card under Corel Linux, is what is happening. Though I can't see why providing drivers for a $1000 card whould amount to anything. TDFX and Creative are also providing drivers for their products and TDFX is down today. I am guessing that it is something more substantial. If S3 cuts out Number Nine for the IBM account that would definitely account for more profit, but I still have the feeling that there is more afoot. Saw that WBC on Yahoo posted that S3's earnings are now reportedly coming out weeks earlier than normal. Someone knows something.
