Joan, re: ag commodities. knowing that they were the item holding back the CRB, i took a gander at the charts for corn, wheat and soybeans yesterday. they're all at multi-year lows, i.e. they discount a lot of bad news already. on the weekly and monthly charts bottoming formations are discernible, and they all trade near the lower boundary of those formations. it is rare to see different groups of commodities diverging to the extent the ag's have relative to the rest over such a long time period. so my feeling that they may near a bottom is based on the charts alone, not fundamentals. regards, hb
