RE:"I'm not saying that Micron is all smoke-n-mirrors here, but I do believe they have an agenda, just like the rest of the anti-Rambus people out there. (OK, so everyone has agendas, but that doesn't make DDR any more or less viable than before.)"...

Tench,
As with a lot of things, it's going to come down to price and availability. The price vs performance ratio of RAMBUS will be the "make it or break it" criterion regardless of any Anti-RAMBUS people out there. There is no doubt Micron has an agenda...promote DDR so they can gain a foothold in the chip set arena. Then sell a bunch of RAM without having to pay RAMBUS royalties.
They have the production facilities, been making RAM on .18u for quite I while, (got a friend in production there). I suppose they want in on the action. Can't blame them.
Whatever happened to that big factory they had sitting idle in Orem, UTAH?
Jim

Jabil Circuit posted earnings this evening, and their sequential revenue grew by 29%. I mention this because they make circuit boards for the PC industry, and are a fairly good proxy for demand and sales.
