Anyone notice etrade had CBIS at $16.00 - $16.00 and not
just $16.00?

I'm coining a new phrase, the Linux Effect. Basically it describes a situation where an IPO prices well above (>50%) its original price range. Two good examples are:
ONDS priced at $28, original ipo range $11-$13
CBIS priced at $16, original ipo range $8-$10

This effect is referred to as the Linux Effect, not because LNUX exhibited this quality, (LNUX priced at $30, ipo range $21-$23), but because LNUX did so well on its first day of trading, and now underwriters are trying to take more $$$ of the top on IPOs.
