I've found that the best chess players are those who spent their infancies in Russia.

<<I've found that the best chess players are people who have spent time in prison>> Naaa... It takes talent, obsession with the game, and much study to become a top player....Not just dumb guys with enough time on their hands to practice. I have known people who played for eight hours every day and I could beat'em.....And in my best days [which are behind me] I was a fish. Now those who were obsessed with the game and studied it,they were a different animal altogether.Never worked couldn't take the time out of their Chess lives.Would play in tournaments Master or Expert class scoring highly or actually winning whilst sneaking out side in between games to fire up a number and never miss a beat....Made their living gambling.True Chess bums. Playing Blitz they would take my money giving me five minutes to thirty seconds.
