Jim - MMs won't hold an inventory of an illiquid stock. They simply reflect orders from actual people, one of whom is trying to accumulate shares. -Eric

Jim,
No, I don't think that the loss of Jim Rollins is the nail in the coffin here. They are still operating as a going concern, even though they are still dealing with all of the same financial constraints that they have been dealing with for many years now. The financial situation will improve once they have the second scanner up and running in Austin, and I think they can continue to operate as a going concern. The big problem here is not the comings and goings of the various employees, it's finding a market for the company's technology. Several months ago there was a demo of some kind of new product or process for a customer that went very well. SCMS moved up into the 20 cent range just on the strength of this successful demo, even though no deal with the customer had been announced. Since then we've heard nothing and people have bailed out of the stock. SMS is going to have to make a deal that will give it a profitable market for its technology before the stock will move. I still think the chances of this are reasonably good although obviously it is very disappointing that nothing seems to have happened since the demo of the new product several months ago.
