DALLAS (CBS.MW) -- UniView Technologies rose approximately 32 percent by midday Thursday on volume that was 15 times the daily average.

The stock was up 1 7/16 to 5 7/8. Just shy of 9 million shares had changed hands.

The company (UVEW: news, msgs), formerly known as Curtis Mathes, enables the creation of customized video on demand and other interactive services over cable and fiber networks.

Although no recent news can be directly credited for the sudden surge in the stock's activity, a UniView representative said Thursday that the company does have a Linux-compatible product and has worked with Motorola (MOT: news, msgs) on its Blackbird multimedia product.

On Wednesday, Motorola made an equity investment in privately held Media Station, which also makes a broadband, video-on-demand product.

I have 4 stocks on my radar right now that will likely shoot up very soon. I'm hoping they hold until I begin my email alert service, but considering the speed which most of my picks rise, it's unlikely.
Included with a subscription will be a list of 10 stocks that promise to do well in 2000.
Last February's list performed phenomenally

Considering I am CONSISTENTLY(that's the key)about as close to 100% in my calls as you'll ever find, I'd say it's a pretty good investment.
