Doug, somehow I knew you are citing somw article, but of course you did not want to provide link first.
As you know the next generation networks do not comprise of only one element.
Did you attend broadband conference in July99?.
The name of the game was IP over ATM.
So if we are arguing based on conferences subjects both optics and IP/ATM are two huge element of future network.
And this is exactly what you have heard for CEO's of LU,CSCO and NN on
Supercom in June 99 and in Geneve Telecom 99
Now I say if you disagree with me read EEO's key notes and argue with them.
