Anybody see this story on Waterford Crystal?

It's about an 11-year-old British kid who noticed that waterfordcrystal.com was available so he registers it. He sets up a simple web site with just an email address, and doesn't advertise it at all. Within a week email orders are pouring in. His father contacts the company and they say they don't want the site!!! Developing story...

<I still think this is going to be a much higher value stock in the future.>

The one development that convinced me that asds was not just 'undervalued' was the coo leaving without a replacement during qp. As an investor, it is usually difficult to really know a company's quality without a) working there, or b) knowing someone who does. Hence, we investors are usually struggling with third-hand information as we assess the quality of our investments and prospective investments.

When a company is 'undervalued' relative to its competition, one must ask why. Usually, there are good reasons for it: mediocre product, sloppy marketing, etc. - in sum, poor execution. The company is an also ran.

However, there is always the chance a low-valuation company is an undiscovered gem, and this is where terrific profits can be made. When the above development occured at asds, that was evidence enough to me that the company's
'low' valuation reflected its current situation.

Remember, there are thousands of stocks out there. Our biggest challenge is reducing the pool of potential investments to the couple of handfuls of stocks we actually have enough money to invest in. This red flag for asds was all the excuse I needed to take my profits and move on to the next 'next msft.' <g> fwiw, Rob

libby, re: ITRA. Here's an example of what might truly be an undervalued stock. The more I see, the more I'm liking it:
