Oh no, no no no. Your sarcasm isn't lost on me. Some of those obscure references zing right over my head, but then, so does a lot of other stuff, so don't worry about it.

I listen for entertainment purposes too. I've been annoyed with him lately, though. For a year he's been banging the drum for a y2k disaster while his sponsors sell stuff like generators, survival food, etc. The past few weeks his tone has changed. The other night he said, "I believe the machinery will be OK, it's people's actions I worry about." !!!???

I think if he had said that to me personally I would have grabbed him by the lapels, and after shaking vigorously, said to him, "Art baby, you're the one who made Gary North a well known name by giving him all the air-time he asked for!" Not just North, but several others and Art himself were the biggest doom and gloomers around! Suddenly now that it's crunch time, he's singing a different tune. A lot of money in the doom and gloom business.
