The price to COMS stockholders is $0. That's what "distribute" means. The number of shares is irrelevant. That's why they tell you 80%: the percentage determines precisely the value COMS stockholders get. It's 80% of the market capitalization of Palm.

As for the IPO price, it will not be known until the IPO day. It will be heavily influenced by Palm's sales and earnings for this quarter and Palm developments between now and February.
