Tandy reports increase in December sales - just not as big an increase as they had expected. Still expect improvement and double digit increase. Tandy sells a lot more than COMPAQ computers and there is no breakdown of which of its products did well. RadioShack Reports on Holiday Shopping FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Tandy Corporation's (NYSE: TAN) RadioShack division reported today that the comparable store sales increase for the first half of December was slightly below the monthly goal of an 8-10% increase. "Increases in customer traffic have been higher over the weekends than during the weekdays, with the Southeast and Midwest being the strongest geographic areas for us. Tandy/RadioShack's retail month ends on December 31 and the company will report the full month results on January 6, 2000.
