Learn2.com Expands Courseware Offerings Into Defensive
Driving Market

Chicago's Cook County Traffic Court Endorses Learn2.com's National Safety Council
Approved Web-based
Defensive Driving Course

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Learn2.com (Nasdaq: LTWO -
news), a leading provider of e-learning solutions, and its partner the
Professional Development Association (PDA), announced today that the Cook County
Traffic Court (Chicago, IL) has endorsed their web-based version
of the National Safety Council's Defensive Driving Courseware. The Cook County
Traffic Court, the largest in the nation, issues approximately 2 million
traffic violation tickets each year, and estimates that approximately 300,000 of these
violators would be eligible for point reduction by completing
Learn2.com's web-based defensive driving course. The cost for this course is expected
to be $30. Each ticket issued by Cook County will contain
instructions for violators to contact the Northwestern University Traffic School for
details on taking the on-line course. The Cook County Traffic Court has
endorsed the course in order to ease congestion in its courthouse. This program will be
available to the public in the first quarter of 2000.

''Learn2.com is committed to entering markets which will provide individuals with
knowledge that will have a positive effect on their daily lives,' said
Stephen P. Gott, President and CEO of Learn2.com. ''The Defensive Driving Course
fits our model and is ideally suited for Internet distribution. This
web-enabled application solves a large problem for Cook County and provides a
convenient way for traffic violators to take the course. We expect this to
be the first of many county endorsements throughout the country. In addition, we can
potentially reach a larger market, in select states, for individuals who
may qualify for auto insurance discounts by taking this course.'

Employees and consumers nationwide will be able to purchase and take the web-based
version of Defensive Driving Courseware online, sharpen their
driving skills, and print a certificate of completion. In 34 states, students who
successfully complete the course can qualify for insurance discounts and/or
point reduction by submitting proof of course completion to their insurance companies.
Independent studies have shown successful completion of the
courseware can reduce auto collisions by a minimum of 20% and moving violations by
up to 50%.

Previously, PDA deployed the desktop version of the course to hundreds of thousands
of employees of corporations and government agencies such as
Exxon, Ford Motor Company, Bell Atlantic, U.S. Postal Service, Dow Chemical and
Dupont. Through this partnership with Learn2.com, the standard
Defensive Driving course will be available over the web to individuals, as well as to
corporations, which will also have the option of purchasing a
customized version.

''To date, PDA has trained hundreds of thousands of corporate and government users
on Defensive Driving through traditional methods,' said William J.
Charron, Jr., President at the Professional Development Association. ''Now, by utilizing
Learn2.com's streaming technology, we can reach a greater
audience than ever before. In addition, we can reach a substantially larger market by
leveraging Learn2.com's extensive distribution channels, comprised
of their direct sales force, reseller channel, highly trafficked Learn2.com site and affiliate
sites.'
