Bukun, you have to get over your distaste for political discussion. Everything involving human interaction is political, so you'll be missing out on a lot. On another subject, I'm not sure you can argue that 20th century command economies are the only natural expression of communal philosophies. -mb

BGR, it is political because modern economics is influenced by politics. I am not on a crusade to change the world I simply want to examine the impact of gov't intervention on the markets. Keynesian economics provided the economic rationalization for the government to take a much greater role in the economy. mike

Indeed, if a hammer is all that you have, all problems look like a nail.

Silly off topic thing for me to comment on, but as an engineer I couldn't think less like this. If all I have is a hammer, that's all I will use, yet it doesn't alter the way problems look, just how I would plan to solve them. I'd also think about getting another tool!

Still, for some people, unfortunately, there's a load of truth in your words. Auto salespeople come to mind...
