I think we have discussed this issue to death. If it was intentional and illegal, I would have expected class action lawsuits by now. The absence of such points to me that much of this conspiracy theory is hot air. In any case, it is in the Fed's charter that its job is to ensure price stability and employment growth - to be the guardian angel of the US economy in other words. That's no secret. I do not think that their fine performance on the job should be held against them.
