You're just being defensive because you own the stock...

I told the customer service person that I realized not all Compaqs were bad but being that mine had been in the shop more than it had been in my lap, I though consideration was due. He said he understood.
I then said I'd be more than happy to get another Compaq if they would give me some sort of discount for my trouble and I'd even turn this piece of shit in. He said he understood but no.

Their customer service sucks. It was a reasonable request given the problems I've had with this machine and I was more than nice and willing to try Compaq again - until I talked to the man that "understood".
