Agree to a point, however, a hot IPO you make 6K with 100 shares and 3K with 50, still not bad for a days click or two. Also, I dont know about the rest of you, but back in the good old days when I got Etrade IPOs all the time, I convinced at least 20 people to open accounts because I was raving about how great Etrade was. (Some of them are IPO competition for us now though, I wish I had kept my mouth shut) I guess I am just saying they may increase the word of mouth advertising with 50 above a pricing of say 30 or so.

Just my opinion, obviously I am happy for anyone getting shares. I guess I just feel I would be willing to accept 50 share allocations on hot IPOs if it doubled my chances, others may not agree.
