Mazz, I didn't mean to infer metals were everywhere..just that when the conditions/geology is consistently simular, like cones, that the makeup is fairly consistent. There may be more gold or more pt or more silver etc, but the metals tend to be there. There is a guy at the Colorado School of Mines (can't remember his name right now) that has written articles about this topic. One of my neighbor's sons just graduated from there and I had this same discussion with him.
As for IPM...well all the blame doesn't belong in the hands of any one party. Personally, I blame myself for not doing then what I have done afterwards....get the dirt in my own hands and check it out.
Fact is now many of us (including Chuca) have spent thousands assaying from New Mexico to Calif to Montana...and it ain't everywhere, I can tell you that.
But, it really is someplaces.
People are far more difficult to figure out.....that may be the ultimate key to DD success.
