Doug: NN is not just a tech stock. NN is a tech stock that -has already corrected -that is already in a bear market -as all " value stocks " are/have been in a bear market in the past 12 months ( see Value line recommended stocks ). -bull run in selected Tech Stocks will continue except it will be more PE sensitive. Hi PE stocks will go in the dog house - I agree that a lot has to happen between now and Feb. 25 ( eps date ? ).I think it will. Announcements will keep coming out. -ultimately I am relying on the laws of physics that say that eventually reality sets in. Eventually this reality will set in: a)CSCO CEO said the future of the web is IP+ATM b)CSCO has no ATMs c)LU's ATMs are poorer quality d)NT is primarily into optical Networking e)Broadband Wireless/lmds will explode f)adsl will explode and for the grand finale, are you ready? g) NN is/will be the leader in a),e) and f) above The Market will see this and respond appropriately, TA Message #15952 from Doug at Dec 17 1999 2:31PM T.A: You have it right except NN is a tech stock. As I see it we have a Bear market in value stocks and a Bull run in the Tech stocks. The interest rate has already been factored in the value stocks. IMO the Techs will be taken down before A.G makes the move. In any case the end date is mid Feb. On past occassions NN has dropped with the clan and reached its low. NN's earnings are due end Feb which is also after A.G's announcement. In brief, NN has a time frame between now and mid Feb to improve. In view of this scenario, I still think a sale would make better sense. Would appreciate your comments. Thanks.
