Jacq,

The EV1 Gen2 with NiMH is magnificent; plain and simple. My driving experiences which include hills and 65 miles per hour on freeways, have all been between 120 and 145 miles per charge. I have not attempted to maximize range. I believe the car could easily do between 160 and 200 under ideal driving conditions.

I was getting between 40 and 60MPC with the lead acids. The difference for me is enormous. I have fears that GM will not produce anymore after this 500 car, batch. They are saying nothing at all about the NiMH batteries. I remain convinced that they want to kill the pure electric car.
This may be the finest pure Electric EV that will ever be built. Go to any lengths necessary to get one.
