Sea Otter, I'm curious to know how going to Islam has affected your relationship with your parents, since you said that they are born-again Christians. If I'm sticking my nose where it doesn't belong, I apologize. I'm just honestly curious if you are able to discuss these things your parents.

Unfortunately it is true that some kids from "Born again" parents walk away. Growing up where the truth is preached but not lived will have its effect (not saying this is your case). Your statement, "You think once you are born-again you're eyes are forever closed?" is the opposite of my life's experience. My eyes have been "forever opened". This is consistent with the bible's teachings.

I don't know what your "born again" life was about, but it certainly couldn't have had much "life" in it. There were many in the days of Moses who witnessed and experienced the miracles, yet rejected it all. In John 6, most of Jesus' disciples discontinued their walk with Him.

Hopefully some day you will walk with the King. Mohammad could never make statements like Christ did and be able to back them up 2000 years later. Jesus still sets the captive free. He still is the ONLY way. He still is the only one who could make the claim while on earth to always please His Father. Mohammad questioned his "calling". Jesus said He would be a liar if He didn't know his.
