the latest vogue in buying IPOs has been to refrain from buying the first few days, waiting for the issue to bottom and to base before jumping in. LNUX, EBNX, DMRC, ACOM and many others all share that pattern.

It marks a sharp departure from the pattern with which we have become familiar in prior weeks when you can buy the issues right out of the gate (ATON, KEYN, VIAD, CRDS, AETH, JNIC, etc.) and get a very decent price. That pattern is apparently fading as we draw close to the end of the millenium.

Jim, Bought more EGRT at 11 1/2 and again at 10 1/2.. Sold my shares from 13 1/4 in my trading account for a loss at 12. Wanted to move tham over to a medium range account.

Now I have 100 at 10, 500 at 12 1/4, 200 at 11 1/2 and 200 at 10 1/2. I really think this may take a couple of days to get moving. I am not worried.
