Nathan, Any deal that get's done will be done in stock. As such I don't think there will be much more of a premium than 15 because you'll have the "potential" appreciation in the new company too. I don't know about shareholders getting screwed. I'll take a 5-6 pt one day gain and roll it over into OEI, VPI or XTO with no questions asked. Most of these deals take place more as mergers with slight premiums as opposed to NBL paying full price for PXD which might be well over $20.

I don't know what to expect from PXD at these levels, but I'm certainly not going to chase it if it runs again on monday. Better off finding the next laggard about to break out.
