hb, Mexico sometimes does well when the US does well. However, it always does poorly when our economy turns south, as it has been doing. Oil is fine, but it is a small part of the MXF portfolio.

The yield at 2.6% is higher than the S&P 500, but in a highly risky country like Mexico, I don't think 2.6% will support diddly-squat when the fit hits the shan.

Basically, I think Mexican stocks have gotten very overpriced very quickly and reality will set in with or without an economic crash, which I also consider likely.
