Hey Niels:

Thank you for introducing idea of naked calls and naked puts as they differ significantly from covered calls and covered puts which I assumed was implicit in Fudd's strategy.

But now that the issue of naked puts and calls has been raised, their can be little contesting that naked puts are an extremely bullish strategy at the limit and naked calls are an extremely bearish strategy at the limit. Covered puts, a derivative of naked put strategy, limits bullish gains but for all intents and purposes exposes one to losses only limited by a zero price of the stock....i.e. not a strategy for one who is significantly bearish on a stock, wouldn't you agree?
