CT: Actually it is a larger proportion of block trades than normal. This information is made available to DLJ clients through MarketSpeed 3.0 or The Pulse on ETrade. Of course you have to be a substantial player - not a kibitzer.

Blocks are normally put together by brokers to satisfy the big buyer or seller. Now how do we know these are buy side blocks. Look at the price over the last 3 days - it has gone up no? If the broker does his job well he can even print the block on a down tick but most have been on up ticks this week.

Do you honestly think the volume of this week was generated by the likes of the guys posting on this board. The one trade I referenced was 5 times my life's accumulation of MSFT.

I think the numbers speak very well for themselves. JFD
