What list are we talking about? The list posted on SI (when this thread started, not when the list was "updated") had BRCM on it but BRCM is not on his list for the year. Last I knew BRCM was still trading techstocks.com
To be honest, I can't make heads or tails of the list. I'm not sure if he picked seven, eight or thirteen for 1999.
My other question, is this list a pick 10 at the beginning of the year and stick to it list or is this a real-time add or subtract list. It seems the list got "updated" in May. And what happened to BRCM? And just what is a community pick? Did Steve pick Lycos, GeoCities and Xoom.com or did the community? Nice swap, GeoCities for BRCM. Is that how it worked? Because that is how it looks from what was posted when this thread was started. Look for yourself.
One thing is for sure. This: steve-harmon.com
is NOT this: Subject 25566
(no BRCM and the list "was updated" with "community" picks, very confusing).
Unless I read things wrong, Steve's pick for '99 (in Feb.)were:
ATHM
AOL
BYND
BRCM
CMGI
DCLK
GNET
PTVL
ShopperConnection
as of Feb. 4, 1999. That's nine, not ten, HOWEVER when the list was updated in May, BRCM went bye-bye and Lycos, GeoCities and Xoom.com were added and listed as "community picks".
