I spot checked last minute time and sales for a number of
those stocks, both those added, those removed.

In *all* cases, blocks in the hundreds of thousands went by,
just after the closing bell. Not your average day traders.

As a b/h kind of investor, it won't make much difference 6 months
from now, but makes one wonder about the "free market".

Not to mention the open interest on the DEC45 calls -- almost twice the open interest on the DEC42.5s.

Same story with RFMD: Big-time open interest on the DEC70s, and the stock plummets almost 4.5 points in the last hour. Looks like somebody didn't want their stock getting called away.

Kind of, um, "interesting" that both stocks settled at just the right place to prevent big option exercises, isn't it?
