I am really not knowledgeable on the specific companies. But I share your view that the DD stocks could go up 50% on any good news. I own shares in SEG, WDC, HDD, HTCH, INVX, RDRT, etc.... The only one I worry about is WDC. They have been selling 2 million shares per month lately at $3.6 per share. So I guess their financial condition is precarious to the point where they are diluting their float at these ridiculous low prices.

But a day like today gives me hope. The volume was heavy and the stocks were up from the open to the close. If the Morgan Stanley report is accurate in that the excess capacity might be exhausted in 2 quarters, then share prices should increase even more than 100%.

I plan to watch disk drive prices at the on-line shops. If prices stay firm through January then I think the whole sector will go up strong. Regarding my targets, I am naively expecting 100% to 200% in the DD stocks, including SEG.

Good luck to us all. (except the shorts).
