Dearest Jeffers soulmate! Love your Sze and will check out.

I've been of different bent, or multi ones...and here offer a series of wretched jokes heard at Jay's Bar [met some terrific people there last week, ended up going around the neighborhood with about 20 people, restaurant/bar owners, airline pilots, civil engineers, a chanteuse, a magician, another couple from Hyde Park. These people are nuts.'oh you're not going home yet....we're going to Mundelli's...I laughed for eight hours straight! Woke up in a.m. still laughing].[Petersen may appreciate these!]

OK here goes. bound to offend someone.

1. Where does an Irish family go for vacation? Another bar.

2. Ya know why Christ was Italian? a. He hung out with the same 12 guys, b. Didn't leave home until he was 29 and c, his mama thinks he's god.

3. You know you're italian when your plumber, your electrician, your accountant and your lawyer are all family members.

4. Women are like parking spaces: taken or handicapped.

This went on for hours last night...so bad I dare not go further online!

Cheers!

Nancy

Wine

I know
It's no easy joy,
No frivolous pastime,
Unyielding to press
The thick clusters of grapes.

Wine is silent
And, smoke like, the years
Lie dormant in a dark cellar,
Until the ardent berries juice
Flares
Like gold embers.

Wine merchants are so talkative,
It makes your head whirl.

But, I, a patient writer,
Nurture words, like music.
I have learned to assemble and keep watch over
Their sounds in the cellar.
The longer the silence,
The more wonderful the speech.

~Nikolai Ushakov

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE
We will have wine (my ma's finest)this year.
I will raise my glass to those in our hearts
and to those we choose to share with : "God give you health"
---Merry Christmas to all
(and a small second one to Nancy-- you remembered.)
