MB, oh yes, definitely...especially in view of the fact that LatAm is one of the areas identified by the World Bank as being most likely to be hit hard by the millenium bug. i haven't followed developments in Brazil lately, but i remember that Venezuela, Ecuador and Argentina have all been in states of crisis of varying degrees all year long. it is actually amazing how the U.S. bubble has managed to infect the whole world regardless of local fundamentals. i reckon once the mania ends here, the copy-cat manias in places with weak economies will suffer even more.
