ESHR - Never, save that of possibly IMCL, have I seen so may of SI's elite lining up behind one issue like ESHR. Everybody seemingly wants a piece of this issue. Most, including myself, do not see this as a trading issue, but a great bet for stellar growth both short and long term.

Below is a link from a DD done by Tom Hua, who knows this issue better than most. It is concise, to the point, and factual. Again, buy and hold:

American Spirit:
Value plays are great if you can get in the true bottom and out on a pop. I like them even better if I know I am buying a quality company with good prospects to return to top form. I believe TYC is a great example of this.
I found this e-mail from the TYC IR on the Yahoo thread...
<<Thank you for your recent e-mail. We recently reported our most successful year-end on October 21, 1999 and have also recently expressed comfort with consensus analyst estimates for the current quarter and the full fiscal year. The estimates for the year are $2.11 in earnings per share, which is a 38% increase from the year just reported.

Our job at Tyco is to run our businesses as best we can, and our performance is a testament to that success. We issued a press release after our Annual General Meeting in November that sums up our views with respect to the health of our businesses and the decline in our stock price. Every word rings as true today as it did last month. Our assumption is that if we continue to produce the outstanding results you have seen from us in the past, the stock price will take care of itself.

With regard to our announcement of the SEC's informal inquiry, we stand behind our accounting and disclosure practices and will cooperate with the inquiry. We have been very concerned about the ongoing unfounded rumors and their effect on our market value and view this as an opportunity to set the record straight.

Please continue to visit our web site at www.tyco.com <http://www.tyco.com> for press releases and up-to-date financial information.>>

...so I spent some time checking out all of the companies that TYC owns and operates. If you get a chance, visit their site and browse the companies, especially the telecom and electronics area. I was especially impressed with their submarine cable division.
My thoughts are that the SEC clears TYC in mid-late January and the stock pops $10 on its way back to $55-60. I may be wrong, but with the strong earnings, growth and huge buy back program, I am comfortable with holding and buying more on dips. I have 200 shares in the $35 range and 200 shares in the $25 range.
