Apparently AMD can't manufacture processors that fast.

I would hope (read: expect) Intel has more...

However you look at it, Intel's standards for a launch have gone down significantly this year.

This may allow Intel to announce a 1GHz processor earlier next year.

"Judging by the following "remark" from that article, it was MEANT to be posted MONDAY - that is, it was "embargoed" - but some editor let it slip out - and I snagged it before it was withdrawn !"

Good thing you caught it, who knows how much sleep you would have lost wondering if Intel would actually have processors to ship for this launch. ;)
