Gabriel,

Sig's response to you cannot be improved upon. The last time I answered a question of this nature on this board, I told the poster that I thought QCOM was a little high (at 235, I believe) and to wait for a pullback. The person bought anyway-- thank goodness-- and the only thing I can say is that QCOM is a well-run company with a very bright future. I don't think any time is the wrong time to buy, as it's on a continuous uptrend.

Sig,

I appreciate your comments. I am not ashamed to admit that from my most recent entry point of 170'sh, I have thought of selling many times, I have not. (only rotated out of a few shares as I was 100% Q)

Obviously we all know what would have happened if I had sold @ 280?

Still one must ask themselves will Q outperform a few other great ones next year?

I think GBLX doubles next year, will Q? JDSU should double as well. I have a hard time seeing Q next year @ 1,000.

HO! HO! HO!

Sig,

The only good exception I have found to the 'buy the winners, sell the losers' was the Q itself in the 97-98 timeframe. It was flat to down while the dot.coms where on a launch pad. I continued to buy more Q and just grind my teeth. No teeth left, but a hell of a lot of Q.

hi

Thank you for the response. You have just perfectly described my investment strategy- sell them for the gains and hang on to the losers :( I have done quite well BUT
had i stayed with the winnners would have been dancing in the streets this year (actually dancing on my new yacht would have been more like it :))
So will try and refocus this year and modify that problem
I think I might just start buying in small lots here , tuck it away and forget about it (Yikes biting my knuckles :)
