A lot of people claim that Corel is overbought, and over hyped.

But what everyone fails to see is that Corel has REAL products. They need to work on delivery, but they have products and they are making money.


You're really fooling yourself if you believe the bearish case on CORL is based on some mistaken assumption that CORL has no products. How many postings have we seen just in the past few days that have been critical of CORL's products? How long did CORL/COSFF languish below $10 despite having very real products?

And while profitability can legitimately be said to be something new, it's quite clear that this is due entirely to cost cutting as opposed to revenue growth: marketguide.com

In fact, one could argue that if Corel is going to be a major force in any Linux boom, it should be running up development costs even if it means incurring losses as a result. The fact that it isn't tells me Corel is going to be hawking the same-old same-old, just on one more platform than before. Definitely not anything to justify a 400%, much less 800%, rocket ride skyward.
