I agree with everything you have said. AOL declining during summer slump doesn't bother me as much as having the funds not working for me. I will no doubt do covered calls and/or puts during the summer doldrums, but, I won't sell out and wait for next fall. I've been left behind on a surprise run before and it won't happen again. Won't risk it with AOL.

Ahhh! a strategist!

It's possible that after the stock's traumatic decline he suffered through, (as well as others), He may psychologically need a clean break from that particular stock.

Just my uneducated opinion
