Networm,

I only have done a few trades with DIR, but have contacted them several times for information and found their people to be a great deal more knowledgeable than most discount brokers. commissions are 19.95 for the first 1000 shares, after which there is a surcharge of, I believe, .02 a share. This can make it more expensive trading low price stocks. One of the things I like about DIR is that if you have a lot of shares to buy or sell of the same issue in the same day, commissions are computed as if you placed a single trade. What I am looking form, however, is better executions, reliability, and possibly better access to IPO's. DLJ qualifies customers for IPOs that have an aggregate balance of $100,000 in all accounts.

BTW, aren't you also in or interested in Tyco?

Richard
