=========

The President and CEO of Wal-Mart Stores and Supercenters USA, Mr. Thomas M. Coughlin, said in an interview that he would love to take Wal-Mart stores to India.

'It has great potential. We will be there; I promise you,' he said with a confident smile.

Mr. Coughlin said India now stood at such an important time in history and it was ready to take off to newer heights. "India would have been one of the most underdeveloped markets in the world. But I think probably it's going to explode. It will be exciting to do business with the great nation," he said.

Asked if he envisaged any hardship in doing business with India, he said he had a few problems with shipping but nothing that seriously affected the business relationship. "I always found excellent cooperation from manufacturers and traders there. They are very warm and friendly."
